Anand (1961) is a strong socially driven professional. His strength lies in inspiring and motivating people in organisations. He has a sharp eye for people's motives and in organisations, he is able to get through to the core very fast. Anand is a certified MDI-consultant. From his bi-cultural, Surinam/Dutch background, he advises, trains, and coaches organisations in developing and implementing an effective diversity policy. His motto is: ‘Diversity creates vitality!' He does not see diversity as a goal in itself, but as an instrument to use each others qualities successfully within an organisation, to strengthen the ‘out of the box' thinking and creativity of teams. He is also a mediator in intercultural conflicts, and he organises Diversity Events for organisations. Besides the study Personnel and Organisation, he has also finished the four-year education in training/coaching, in which he graduated on the phenomena Provocative Coaching. Anand started his career in Lebanon, after which he worked for 14 years at the Amsterdam-Amstelland police force. In the last few years, he has advised the corps management in the field of diversity. At this moment, beside STRATCH, Anand works as a part-time consultant Diversity Policy at Slachtofferhulp Nederland (Victim Support Netherlands). Anand regularly gives presentations on creating corporate diversity in organisations.
